We started this adventurous project "design in transit" to get new experiences, to see other workflows, to collaborate on projects, to get inspired or just spend time with creative thinkers…

*walz - to take on the road

The walz is a traditional german development phase in which the journeymen travelled the world to deepen their experiences by exercising their learned trades anywhere needed. The aim of the journeymen was to get to know other workflows and new experiences after their trade. An identifying feature was a traditional costume on their way through different countries. They were looking for work and received food and accomodation in return.

We used this tradition as an inspiration for our trip – design in transit.
